Care Details

Lambskin nappa leather is a delicate material, if possible, avoid putting your bag on the floor, which could create stains in the corners, and filling it with heavy objects.

When the bag is not worn, it is preferable to store it in its pouch with a little tissue paper or fabric inside. If the bag seems a little crushed, do not hesitate to shake it a little bit to return to its original shape.

If it happen to get wet, carefully wipe off excess water with a soft towel and lay flat to dry. In case of a doubt, please consult with the customer service first.

Do not dry clean. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry.

Made in India

The patchwork of the Rombo bag requires a complex process to assemble all the small leather pieces together. It is in our factory in Chennai, in the South of India, and thanks to its know-how, that the bag is produced. We privilege the fact that the product is completely manufactured in the same place rather than dividing the process in different countries. With its ultimate technology, they have the capacity to do bigger quantities, nevertheless, they’ve accepted to support RECO by producing in small quantities. Our long-lasting relationship though-out the pasts years working together has made this collaborate possible and we are very thankful.

Crafted from surplus leather

All our bags are made using exclusively high quality surplus leather from Italian and Spanish tanneries supplying some of the best luxury brands. This means we are not producing the leather, but up-cycling an already existing material, which is what sustainability means to us: doing the most with the available resources, using them consciously and adapting to its constraints by being creative.

Patchwork design

Usually handbags generates a huge amount of leather waste due to the size of every part that compose it (front, backside and sides). These are usually cut from the center of the animal skin, (which is the most beautiful and less damaged part) making all the rest of the skin very difficult to use. The solution is to cut every part in small pieces. This is why our bags are made with a patchwork inspired technique that allow us to cut the leather is small pieces to reduce waste and make the most of every skin.
